There are several home remedies are also available for luxuriant hair. But besides all that diet is very important for health of hair. Here are some diet tips for luxuriant hair.
- Hair follicles are made up of proteins therefore diet should contain plenty of proteins to prevent hair loss. Diet also should contain foods rich in calcium which make the hair follicles strong. Diet should contain food like tofu, sea foods, almonds, low fat cheese, sprouts, eggs, beans, yogurt and soy milk.
- Diet should contain wheat germ, beans, yeast, fruits, green leafy vegetables, low fat milk and milk products.
- Iron and zinc rich foods are very important for luxuriant hair. Green leafy vegetables contain plenty of iron. Whole grain flour, red meat and sea food contain zinc.
- Spinach, carrot, coriander are very good for healthy hair.
- Color, gloss and thickness come through vitamin B intake. Green vegetables, peas and nuts are good source of vitamin B.
- The health of blood capillaries carrying to hair follicles can be maintained by intake of vitamin C containing foods like Amla (Embolica officinalis) and vitamin C containing fruits like orange.
- Vitamin is also required for growth of hair and it is present in whole foods. Refined products hence should be avoided as they are devoid of vitamin E. Eggs, wheat germs and vegetable oils also contain vitamin E.
- Copper is important to prevent hair loss. Whole milk, nuts like cashew nuts and pea nuts and beans are good source of copper.
- Silica is very important for healthy hair and the sources of silica are onions, cabbage, oats, cauliflower, green leafy vegetables, rice, celery, sunflower seeds, leek, lettuce and many more.
10. Intake of essential fatty acids helps in preventing drying and breakage of hair. They are present in fish like tuna, trout, mackerel, sardine, herrings and salmon. Nuts, olive and seeds also contain essential fatty acids.
11. The water after boiling mustard seeds can be taken for good health of hair.
Apart from the food a well balanced diet, plenty of water sound sleep, stress management and stress relaxation are important for healthy hair.
